Thank you for visiting our site! If you choose our home, you will live in a friendly Arlington neighborhood one mile south of the Foreign Service Institute (FSI) and a ten minute drive to the Pentagon. We have solar panels and a Tesla PowerWall that offers seamless clean power backup during inclement weather.
While staying at our home, you’ll have the best of both worlds–a peaceful neighborhood, but close to the conveniences that you would expect in a city. FSI is a 10 minute bike ride away. Or, you can take a nice 5-10 minute stroll to Barcroft Park. Most stores, gas stations, and restaurants are a 5-10 minute drive.
Open the door and you’ll find a comfortable living room with an open-floor plan that includes the kitchen and dining area. You can create the perfect meal in our fully-updated modern kitchen featuring granite countertops and stainless steel KitchenAid appliances.
Upstairs is the master bedroom with a king bed, a guest room with a trundle bed, and a full bathroom. Head downstairs to the finished basement and there is another bedroom with a full-sized bed.
Our home is ideal for government employees on a 1+ month training assignment at FSI. In addition to being close to FSI, our home is a 15 minute car ride (or 45 minute ride on the 16Y Metro bus) to Main State (HST). We offer free Wi-Fi with a gigabit connection (Verizon Fios).
Our home is located right-off of George Mason Drive, between Columbia Pike and Route 7, and is less than two miles from I-395 (King St Exit). The nearest Trader Joes (Bailey’s Crossroads) is an 8 minute drive (there is a Best Buy in that mall as well). Giant and Harris Teeter grocery stores are a 5 min drive (about 1.5 miles away).
If you like the outdoors, we have daffodils, tulips, lilies, a crepe myrtle, a couple of dogwoods, a couple of apple trees, and many other flowers growing outside to brighten your day. If you are into gardening, we also have a greenhouse in the backyard. If you need some extra space to work or do projects, we have a shed with skylights. If you have little kids, we have a cedar playset in the backyard as well.
